Back in mid-July I was lucky enough to be asked to present at a conference event linked to the ICARES project (see http://icaresproject.eu/#about). The conference was held in Ebbsfleet and involved a number of academics from around Europe, as well as businesses and other organisations – including Kent police.
The aim of the ICARES project is to:
“develop a cross border innovation cluster and create the necessary conditions for innovation in the field of remote sensing and advanced data communication & processing, based on the needs of priority sectors around nature, agriculture and water & infrastructure.”
Although not directly involved in the project as a partner, I was happy to have the opportunity to present some of the work that I had been involved in regarding data processing for Defra and the JNCC. The slides from the ICARES talk can be found online, and introduce the work undertaken with APMGeo and Specto Natura.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about the Intermediate Product work.
